Due to the addition of iMediaBrowser framework and upcoming features, Podcast Maker version 1.3.1 and later will no longer work on machines running in Panther (Mac OS X 1.3.9).
If you are running Panther, please do not install this update and uncheck the "Check for update on startup" checkbox in Podcast Maker preferences.
Lastest Panther compartible version of Podcast Maker (version 1.3) is available to download from our website.

- From a browser, drag and drop a link to a media file to add an external episode.
- When you drag and drop a linked image from the browser into the chapters table, it will fill in the image, the link, and the link title fields.

- You can select multiple chapter markers by clicking with the shift or command button.
- You can drag multiple chapter markers to adjust the time of all selected chapters.
- The main chapter and subchapter markers have different sizes.

- You can now drag and drop stuff directly from iTunes (tracks, playlists, podcasts, etc.)
- Easier FTP and SFTP setup. When setting up FTP and SFTP you can choose the paths via GUI instead of having to type it in.
- Certificate based sftp authentication. Leave the password field empty to login with your ssh certificate.
- Improved progress slider bar. You can now see where you are skipping to.
- HTML export of enhanced podcast chapters. Select some chapters in the chapters screen and copy and paste to your favorite app or drag and drop it there.
- When you create an enhanced podcast chapter by drag and drop of an image file, its title is set to the image file's name.
- You can publish M4B files.
- Keywords are now separated by comma, as specified in the latest specifications from Apple. However, spaces are okay too, if there are no commas.
- Namespace URL is now all lower case, as specified in the latest specifications from Apple.
- First new episode inherits keywords from the podcast. Episodes after that inherit the keywords from previous episode.
- Missing file dialog displays an alert when trying to replace an episode with a different file. You can now force it to be replaced.
- When an episode file is not found on the local machine, Podcast Maker now looks for it in the home directory under the same path as the original file. This a feature for moving your podcast document to another computer.
- You can modifiy the published time of an episode in addition to the date.
- There is a new preference for setting jpeg image compression quality for enhanced podcasts.
- Bunch of minor improvements.
Bug Fixes:
- Implemented a workaround for Microsoft Windows Media Player's non-standards compliant behavior.
- Implemented a workaround for some ftp servers that disconnect the control connection after upload of a large file. If you were getting a timeout error (errorcode 628) this will get around the problem. However, you will want to let your sysadmin know about the problem because ftp servers aren't supposed to do that.

- When editing chapters for enhanced podcasts, links are no longer inherited to the chapters that follow.
- The document save format has been improved.
- In enhanced podcast edit mode, when you drop in multiple images to create new chapters, the new chapters are evenly distributed.

Bug fixes:
- [Critical] If you import a feed that has a show image and publish to a certain non-comforming FTP server, your directory may get replaced by a file. This is especially relevant if you publish to an FTP server running on Windows. Please upgrade to this version.
- We now upload two images for the podcast. One of width 300 for iTunes, and the other one of width 144 for RSS 2.0 compatibility.
- When importing a feed, correctly recognize timeszones in the timestamp such as "PST", and "GMT", in addition to hour offsets such as "-800".

- Trial period extended to 30 days. For those of you doing weekly podcasts, it should allow you to at least produce 4 podcasts before having to decide to purchase or not.
- When enhancing an mp3 file, the conversion to m4a works just like iTunes now. It takes into consideration the bit rate, sample rate, and channel layout to produce an optimal m4a file.
- You can now skip around to different parts of an episode with the new progress slider. It animates in and out to not waste space when it's not playing.
- There is a new spectrum analyzer that is visible during playback.
- Time ticker is visible all the time now.
- Interactive Quicktime movies don't close when they're done playing. Click the pause button to close them.
- The enhanced podcast preview is further optimized. It performs better especially when large images are used as chapter images.
- Playback speed slider has been moved to the new progress slider area.
- Playback stops when the publish button is clicked.
Bug fixes:
- Long mp3 files were getting truncated when converting to m4a format for enhancing. Fixed.
- There was a problem embedding images in mp3 files with ID3 tags of v2.2. Fixed.
- In rare cases, if an album artwork image getting embedded to an m4a file size was just right, the program crashed. Fixed.
